Stacey is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist who is passionate about creating spaces where people feel welcomed, supported, and included. Her work is guided by the belief that meaningful change happens when we work with people rather than doing things to or for them. She values connection, empathy, and the power of recreation and community to bring people together in ways that honour each person’s strengths and experiences.
Currently completing her Master’s degree in Human Kinetics and Recreation at Memorial University, Stacey is driven by a desire to break down barriers and create opportunities for participation for people of all backgrounds and abilities. She is especially passionate about learning from individuals with lived experience and believes that the best solutions come from listening, collaborating, and approaching challenges with curiosity and care.
At the heart of Stacey’s work is a simple goal: to leave the corner of the world she’s in a little better than she found it. She enjoys meeting new people, learning from different perspectives, and working alongside others to find thoughtful, creative ways to make communities more inclusive and welcoming.
