Skill Builders

Sustaining Accessibility Momentum

Thursday, Dec 10th, 1-3 pm AST

Many accessibility initiatives begin with enthusiasm but struggle to maintain momentum over time.

This skill builder explores strategies for embedding accessibility into everyday practices, creating shared accountability, reducing reliance on a single champion, and building long-term organizational commitment. Learn how to keep accessibility moving forward, even when priorities and people change.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Recognize common barriers that cause accessibility efforts to stall.
  • Identify strategies for embedding accessibility into organizational systems.
  • Build shared accountability beyond a single champion.
  • Develop approaches for maintaining long-term momentum and progress.

Our skill builders are designed to be highly interactive. Each session includes breakout group discussions to encourage knowledge exchange and create space for participants to learn from one another’s experiences and perspectives. Following the session, participants receive a “learn more” document and additional resources, so even if you are unable to attend live, we encourage you to register.
