Erin is a professional communicator, writer, and editor based in Kjipuktuk/Halifax, Nova Scotia. Her professional and personal mission is to spread the gospel of plain language as both an accessibility right and a decolonizing practice. Erin develops and delivers training in plain language and other equity- and accessibility-related topics, both on her own and in collaboration with Sea Change CoLab. For more than a decade, she has offered communication consulting to the higher education, business, not-for-profit, and government sectors. Erin has been a leader and key collaborator on many equity-focused projects — as a non-profit leader, private consultant, and volunteer. She believes we are all entitled to effective and clear communication so we can connect with the people, opportunities, services, products, and information we need.
