James is a visual artist, specializing in painting and illustration. Born in Cebu City, Philippines, James was raised and educated in a highly multicultural setting. James graduated magna cum laude from the University of the Philippines with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art and organized and facilitated summer art workshops for children of all ages while developing, writing, and illustrating comic book titles for local publication, Popcorn Comics.
James began his career with a team of Content Illustrators for Cleverlearn/Bigfoot Global Solutions Inc., designing English tutorial software for two years while coordinating and participating in art exhibits. For the past 13 years, James has lived in Kjipuktuk/Halifax, NS.
